That they have to walk an hour to school and another hour back on busy roads notorious for reckless and maniacal drivers. On behalf of the parents the members of Ntirhirano Community Centre (NCC) made two crowdfunding campaigns, which were both unsuccessful. However in the first campaign the grandparents to one of Ntirhisano member pledged 500 euros, which they transferred it into Ntirhisano and it was R8000. 00 when converted. With the donation Ntirhisano was able to organise a school bus for the refugee school children. We paid the school bus R1200 weekly for ten school kids. The R8000. 00 budget lasted only for seven weeks. The parents and kids were very relieved but only for very short period. As the second crowdfunding campaign was dismally unsuccessful.

“We are some of the refugee parents who are living at the temporary facilities set up to house our families since the coronavirus first appeared in South Africa in early 2020. We were signed to this facility because we had no other options. Members of Ntirhisano Community Centre (NCC) assisted us in finding schools for our children earlier this year”.
